Job Description

Oak View Group is a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services dedicated to the live event industry. Renowned for offering a holistic, 360-degree solution set, the company oversees a collection of world-class owned venues and serves a prestigious client base that includes some of the most influential and highly attended arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, Oak View Group continues to set new standards in the industry by creating unforgettable experiences for audiences and seamlessly managing complex event operations.

The Enmarket Arena, one of Oak View Group's prime venues, is a 9,500-seat facility equipped with luxury suites, club seating, and top-tier food and beverage services. It plays a significant role in enhancing entertainment in the Southeast by hosting national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, and a variety of professional, collegiate, and amateur sporting events. The arena also supports regional sports development through its tenant ECHL hockey team, the Savannah Ghost Pirates.

The Event Manager role at Oak View Group involves comprehensive management of all aspects of event planning and execution within the Enmarket Arena and the Johnny Mercer Theatre. This full-time position, offering an annual salary ranging from $44,000 to $59,000, requires overseeing the advance planning stages through to the end of each event. The Event Manager works closely with third-party partners to recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate front of house event staff, including security, guest services, medical personnel, police coordination, and parking management. Collaborating effectively with local public safety officials is crucial to ensure event operations are smooth and safe.

This role demands excellent coordination skills, as the Event Manager facilitates clear communication among event staff and delegates assignments efficiently. The position also shoulders responsibility for overall customer and lessee satisfaction, making it essential to handle operational challenges promptly and professionally. Key responsibilities include creating event estimates aligned with annual budgets, coordinating event seating with ticket offices, liaising with tour production managers, and managing event budgets and financial settlements.

Additionally, the Event Manager oversees backstage operations, production setups, staffing schedules, and contract services while ensuring all event preparations and live operations comply with safety and operational standards. The role requires flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and consecutive event days. The ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail is vital for success.

Oak View Group values diversity and is committed to fostering an inclusive culture that drives innovation and reflects the communities it serves. As an equal opportunity employer, Oak View Group encourages candidates from all backgrounds to bring their unique perspectives and talents to the team. Benefits for this role include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and comprehensive paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick leave, and holidays.

This position will remain open until May 22, 2026, offering a rewarding opportunity for qualified individuals eager to contribute to a global leader in live event venue management and hospitality services.
