Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 4 years of related experience
- Knowledge of accounting systems preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Able to work various shifts including weekends and evenings
- Physical ability to occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- At least 4 years of related experience
- Knowledge of accounting systems preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of customer service
- Ability to focus on details and resolve numerical problems

Job Duties
- Assigns all events turned over to event planning team
- Oversees function space and group room blocks for turned opportunities
- Communicates and executes departmental and property emergency procedures
- Leads execution of activities that support event management strategy
- Works with direct reports to review scheduled events and troubleshoot potential challenges and conflicts
- Leads discussions to review event complexity and proactively avoid service challenges
- Ensures property is apprised of all groups impacting operations
- Manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and satisfaction
- Maintains inventories to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue
- Works with complex or high-profile groups when financial impact is significant
- Leads catering menu development
- Champions standards, policies, and procedures for event planning team
- Leads event management meetings
- Reviews guest feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Shares plans with property leadership to improve guest satisfaction
- Demonstrates leadership in guest hospitality and excellent customer service
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback
- Handles guest problems and complaints
- Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
- Develops relationships with vendors to enhance event experience and revenue
- Consults with customers to determine event objectives and requirements
- Establishes customer service guidelines
- Ensures employees receive ongoing training
- Observes service behaviors and provides feedback
- Reviews staffing levels to meet guest service and planning needs
- Performs other duties as assigned
