The organization prides itself on ensuring memorable guest experiences with a comprehensive range of services including banquet facilities, event planning, and upscale accommodations tailored to both business and leisure travelers.
The Catering Sales Manager plays a pivotal role within this dynamic setting. This position focuses on driving sales by soliciting, booking, planning, and coordinating meetings and functions aimed at maximizing banquet space to surpass revenue goals. Reporting directly to the Director of Catering Sales, the Catering Sales Manager acts as a crucial liaison between clients and various hotel departments to ensure seamless execution of events. Leadership here demands not only expertise in catering sales but also proactive engagement in business development, client relationship management, and strategic negotiation to align closely with Westmont Hospitality's standards and hospitality philosophy.
The role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, managing a spectrum of responsibilities from event logistics and menu planning to contract negotiation and client presentations. The Catering Sales Manager must possess robust communication skills, a deep understanding of food and beverage trends, and a keen ability to foster long-term relationships with clients. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional with a minimum of one year of experience in catering sales or event planning, preferably in a hotel environment, who is driven to exceed targets and passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences.
Emphasizing a balance of leadership, operational management, and continuous learning, the Catering Sales Manager will also spearhead initiatives to identify new market opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and respond to challenges with innovative solutions. This role encapsulates a comprehensive approach to sales, guest satisfaction, team collaboration, and personal growth. Benefits are competitive and include a robust package of health, vision, dental insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and other employee perks designed to foster work-life balance and professional development. The Embassy Suites Cleveland encourages a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork, making it an inspiring workplace for anyone aiming to build a rewarding career in hospitality sales management.
