Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in catering sales, event planning, or related field preferably in a hotel environment
- proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- strong verbal and written English communication skills
- knowledge of hotel, Westmont, and brand policies and procedures
- advanced understanding of catering and banquet operations, food and beverage trends, and event logistics
- proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
- exceptional sales, negotiation, and closing skills
- strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
- possess systems knowledge (Envision/Social Tables or similar).

- strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure
- demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and internal teams
- possess systems knowledge (Envision/Social Tables or similar).
Job Duties
- Proactively solicit, negotiate, and book high-profile and complex events, maximizing banquet space and exceeding catering revenue targets
- collaborate with clients to plan and detail meetings/functions, including event logistics, menu planning, and decor
- prepare contracts, proposals, and supporting documents while coordinating efforts with internal teams to ensure seamless execution
- identify and convert leads, employing creative selling techniques to secure business
- proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new catering business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals
- build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers including conducting sales calls, prospecting, and attending events
- conduct site inspections and understand competitor strengths and weaknesses to effectively sell against them
- use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close business and negotiate contracts
- ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and build long-term mutually beneficial customer relationships
- coordinate and communicate event details with customers and internal staff, follow up post-event
- lead guest hospitality initiatives and handle guest problems and complaints effectively
- review guest service results and participate in corrective action plans
- champion a culture of excellence and innovation within the sales department
- demonstrate urgency and efficiency in managing competing priorities
- proactively resolve obstacles and foster cross-functional collaboration
- continuously pursue professional development and share gained knowledge with colleagues.
