Key responsibilities include managing event budgets, processing expenses and contracts, maintaining detailed participant records, and leveraging technology platforms such as Smartsheet for project planning and communication. The planner anticipates and mitigates potential risks related to safety, compliance, and logistics, ensuring smooth event execution. From the initial planning stages through event completion, the planner facilitates regular communication and consensus-building meetings with facilitators, vendors, and stakeholders to set clear expectations and maintain a high standard of quality.
Additionally, the Conference & Event Planner supports continuous improvement by analyzing event performance trends, providing constructive feedback, and sharing insights to enhance future events. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills to build meaningful connections across internal business units and external partners, reinforcing the Clayton brand and ensuring a distinguished event experience.
