Legends Global Knoxville is currently seeking an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join their dedicated team. The position offers immediate employment opportunities and is pivotal to the Food and Beverage Department’s operational success. The role entails overseeing the full-time and part-time banquet servers, as well as contracted personnel, ensuring the flawless execution of catering and concessions events. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for upholding the highest service standards, managing labor and budgets, and maintaining excellent client relationships. This position demands a detail-oriented leader capable of multitasking and dealing effectively with the dynamic environment of live event management.

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Legends Global Knoxville plays a crucial role in supervising banquet personnel, including servers, bartenders, concessionaires, and banquet captains. Responsibilities include coordinating event setups according to specific diagrams, supervising food and beverage service, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout events. The Assistant Manager also handles staffing efficiencies, payroll compliance, and the overall productivity of the service team. This position requires managing event-related labor, beverage, and ancillary costs within established budgets, as well as assisting in the hiring and disciplinary processes for food and beverage staff.

Candidates for this role must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the capacity to adapt to changing work demands. Certifications such as ServSafe and TABC are required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and computerized accounting systems is also essential. The physical nature of the job demands the ability to stand and move for prolonged periods, handle lifting requirements, and function effectively in fast-paced indoor and outdoor environments. Job Duties

  • Supervise direct and train all banquet personnel including servers bartenders concessionaires and banquet captains
  • ensure proper setup of event rooms related to food and beverage per event diagrams and communicate necessary adjustments
  • assist in coordinating additional planning arrangements such as equipment rental beverages and linen
  • coordinate and supervise execution of all banquet functions ensuring client specifications are met
  • manage labor beverage and ancillary costs for events and report necessary information to Catering Sales and F&B Director
  • oversee proper uniform appearance of service team
  • monitor client needs during events ensuring customer satisfaction and communicate changes to relevant departments
