The Aviation Planner role at AtkinsRealis is an entry-level full-time position located in Melbourne, FL, designed for individuals passionate about aviation and looking to start their careers in airport planning and management. This role is integral to the Aviation Planning Team, focusing on assisting in the development and updating of essential aviation documents like Airport Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans (ALPs). As an Aviation Planner, you will collect, analyze, and interpret vital aviation data, such as passenger activity and aircraft operations, and support the preparation of studies related to airside, landside, and terminal development. The role also involves creating maps, exhibits, and technical graphics using a suite of planning tools including Canva, AutoCAD, and AviPLAN.

Candidates will gain hands-on experience coordinating with various internal departments, FAA representatives, consultants, and local agencies, supporting community outreach activities, and assisting with project documentation including reports and stakeholder briefings. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or similar
  • 0-2 years of related experience in airport operations airport planning or airport management
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD desired
  • Willingness to obtain the AAAE CM certification upon hiring

Job Duties
