Job Description

Baptist Health stands as the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region, boasting a robust network that includes 12 hospitals, over 29,000 dedicated employees, 4,500 physicians, and 200 outpatient centers across Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Renowned for internationally acclaimed centers of excellence in cancer care, cardiovascular treatment, orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as neurosciences, Baptist Health is deeply rooted in a faith-based mission committed to medical excellence. For more than two and a half decades, the organization has earned a coveted spot on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For list, a testament to its positive work culture, and in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings, it was recognized as the most awarded healthcare system in South Florida with 63 high-performing honors.

What truly distinguishes Baptist Health is its people. The organization prioritizes personal connections that transcend the conventional workplace, fostering meaningful relationships not just among colleagues but with patients and their families. Many team members share the lived experiences of patients, reinforcing a culture of empathy, compassion, and quality care. This culture is firmly grounded in purpose, and every staff member plays a vital role in contributing to a positive impact. At Baptist Health, the collective commitment is clear: when it comes to caring for people, they are all in.

Baptist Health is equally dedicated to nurturing its employees professionally and personally through a "grow our own" philosophy. This approach encourages team members to build long-lasting careers supported by a wide range of benefits, including career growth opportunities with clear pathways, comprehensive health and wellness resources that extend beyond typical offerings, and wellness programs designed to reduce medical plan deductibles, effectively minimizing out-of-pocket expenses. Tuition reimbursement is also available to support ongoing learning and advancement, underscoring the organization's investment in employee development.

The Manager of Fundraising Events plays a critical role at Baptist Health by designing, directing, and producing all fundraising events across Baptist Health South Florida, excluding those at Mariner's Hospital where the role serves in a consulting and collaborative capacity. This manager will establish an annual event plan in consultation with key stakeholders including the Director of Corporate Philanthropy & Fundraising Events, Foundation Executive and Board Leadership, development officers, and hospital CEOs. The position entails full responsibility for the execution of all Foundation fundraising, cultivation, and recognition events as well as budget management for event expenses.

This role requires dynamic leadership in identifying, cultivating, and securing event chairpersons and committee members, alongside recruiting, training, supervising, and retaining volunteer staff to support each event. The manager also leads and organizes event committees, develops and maintains targeted event invitation and attendee lists, and partners with Marketing to oversee event collateral. Success in this role depends on proactive coordination with staff and volunteers, vendor negotiations, and effective management of special event contracts.

The estimated salary range for this position is $78,611.15 to $102,194.50 per year, dependent on experience. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced event professional to contribute to an organization that values not only exceptional event management skills but also a commitment to philanthropy and community impact within a respected healthcare setting.
