The Special Events Project Planner role is a critical position within USS, responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning and coordination for special event jobs across the region. This role manages multiple product lines, including fence, sanitation, and temporary power services, which are essential to the success of various events and projects. As a project planner for special events, the individual will be involved in the entire lifecycle of special event projects, from initial planning and client meetings to final completion and reporting. This requires excellent project management skills, the ability to work cross-functionally with clients, regional managers, and local teams, as well as coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
The position demands strong communication and organizational capabilities as the planner acts as the liaison between the client and various project teams, effectively addressing any changes or issues that arise during the project. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a two-year associate degree and over one year of project management experience, with skills in project scheduling, resource allocation, budget monitoring, and detailed reporting. Familiarity with the products and services offered by United Site Services is highly advantageous. The physical requirements include sitting for extended periods responding to calls or emails, dexterity in handling tools and controls, and sensory abilities such as hearing and vision essential to performing tasks accurately.

Job Duties
- Manage special event project lifecycle from initial planning phases through completion
- meet with clients, regional management, and local team to establish project plans, budgets, and schedules
- coordinate project resources and track progress against established timelines and schedules
- ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification
- act as liaison between the client and project team members regarding changes or problems
- coordinate the work of vendors or sub-contractors
- responsible for material management and delivery scheduling tasks in support of assigned projects
- track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators
- prepare and deliver reports to management
- perform other duties as assigned
