Position: Substitute Kitchen Assistant
About: The Woodbridge School District in Connecticut is seeking a substitute Kitchen Assistant for Beecher Road School, a PK-6 elementary school known for its caring and creative community. The school values diversity and celebrates the unique qualities of each individual, serving approximately 860 students with a staff of 165 members. This position is temporary, with flexible hours of operation from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: Background, interest, and/or expertise in food services; ability to collaborate with supervisor and team members; understanding and following procedures related to food services, health, and sanitation; ability to stand and/or walk for up to six (6) hours on cement quarry tile floors; full range of motion for kitchen tasks; basic mathematical operations and cash register use; customer service experience and teamwork skills
