Position: Sous Chef – Overland Park Convention Center
About: The Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join their culinary team. The convention center, a cornerstone of the community since 2002, hosts a variety of events and prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences through personalized customer service and innovative event solutions.
Requirements: Culinary degree preferred; at least 3 years of related experience in a management role required; pastry or dessert experience preferred; previous experience in special events, hospitality, or catering required; advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices required; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a collaborative team dynamic; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.; ability to stand for extended periods of time; availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours
