Position: Sous Chef – La Société
About: Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA is a modern and chic hotel located in the South of Market district, offering exemplary service and 686 guestrooms. The hotel is within walking distance to Union Square shops, designer boutiques, dining spots, cable car terminals, and various tourist attractions like the Ferry Building, Chinatown, and Fisherman’s Wharf.
Requirements: At least 4 years of related progressive experience; or a culinary graduate with at least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field. Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, and liquor laws. Long hours sometimes required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of French culinary skills/techniques a plus.
