Position: Sous Chef job
About: A busy restaurant in need of a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Assistant to assist the executive chef in day-to-day operations, food preparation, and maintaining kitchen standards and sanitation.
Requirements: Must have open availability, able to work long hours, work under pressure, fast learner, positive attitude, and ability to multitask is a must; Assist the executive chef on day-to-day operations of the restaurant; Prepare meals and food to meet guest specifications in a timely manner; Properly measure kitchen ingredients and food portions; Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules, and sanitation requirements; Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers in food preparation; Manage kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high quality; Ensure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward; Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized; Take charge of kitchen opening, closing, and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
