Position: Sous Chef job
About: As a Sous Chef at IDEXX, you will utilize your culinary skills to assist the team in preparing high-quality meals and food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in multiple culinary workstations and gain new skills to advance in your career. Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef, you will be responsible for daily kitchen operations to deliver exceptional products for employees and guests.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a culinary role preferred; strong culinary skills in food preparation and presentation; knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards and food safety guidelines; ability to lead a kitchen team and coordinate culinary activities; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work independently and make decisions when needed; physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and move carts; completion of ServSafe certification class with passing grade; knife skills training required; willingness to attend additional trainings as needed
