Position: Sous Chef job
About: The Experience Senior Living Team is a group of professionals dedicated to empowering people as they age to live life to the fullest. They are a diverse team of creators, architects, nurses, researchers, programmers, marketers, facilitators, developers, investors, and caregivers, all focused on positively impacting the lives of residents, their families, and team members. We are currently seeking a Sous Chef to join our team.
Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Culinary degree preferred; Five years cooking experience in the hospitality field; Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards; Working knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety standards; Previous management or team leadership experience necessary; Strong organization and time management skills; Able to manage budgets including food, supplies, and labor; Previous experience in banquets or special event planning; Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel; Positive leader able to manage and coach team members; Able to build positive and strong relationships with team members, coworkers, and residents; Focused and dedicated to providing excellent customer service; Able to handle multiple jobs and priorities; Able to delegate and hold staff accountable in an efficient and respectful manner; Strong sense of business ethics; Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
