Position: Sous Chef job
About: The company is looking for motivated and engaged individuals to assist in designing and preparing meals for airline customers. The Sous Chef, Operations will report to the Executive Sous Chef or the Executive Chef for the unit, providing culinary expertise, promoting quality food services, and ensuring food safety and sanitation requirements are met. The role involves driving the food production effort with the assistance of Food Supervisors.
Requirements: Associates degree in the Culinary Arts or a Culinary Arts certification preferred; Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Chef and/or Sous Chef required; Minimum 7 years of experience as a cook required; Previous supervisory experience in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, restaurant, or catering environment preferred; Ability to cook meals according to detailed specifications; Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Must have strong and effective leadership skills; Ability to successfully manage a team of cooks; Ability to train others; Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills required; Innovation and ability to make operational changes as needed; Basic computer skills required; ServSafe Certified is preferred; Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
