Position: Sous Chef job
About: Dating back to the 1700s, the Barnsboro Inn is a historic establishment known for offering great food, excellent service, and a friendly environment. We are currently looking to hire an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environments, seeking a challenging yet rewarding role in a growing setting.
Requirements: 3+ years of Kitchen Management; Degree from Culinary Arts school is preferred; may substitute additional experience for education; ServSafe Certification; Prior experience in menu creation, recipe writing & costing; Prior experience with inventory management; Ability to optimize staff productivity; Must be able to work flexible hours, days, nights, and holidays; Exceptional communication, supervisory, and coaching/training skills; Must be able to listen attentively to employees, dining room staff, and guests (open and willing ability to work as a team with a ‘we are all in this together’ approach)
