Position: SOUS CHEF I
About: Chartwells Higher Ed, located at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, is currently hiring for the position of Sous Chef I. The role involves assisting in the overall success of the food program, overseeing culinary functions, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The Sous Chef I will also be responsible for motivating, training, and directing back-of-house associates to meet operational objectives.
Requirements: Previous culinary experience; 5 years of related culinary experience including 1 year at the management level; Knowledge of food and industry trends; Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills; ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred
