About: Aventura Catering, located at the fast-paced, high-volume Phoenix Convention Center, is seeking a diligent and skilled Sous Chef Coldside to oversee the cold kitchen operations. The company is committed to delivering high-quality cold food items for events of various scales, from small meetings to large conventions.

Requirements: Minimum of 7 years as a sous-chef, preferably in cold production, catering, or banquet settings; expertise in cold food production, including charcuterie, salads, and cold hors d’oeuvres; strong leadership and team management abilities; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously; excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan production efficiently; strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices; fast-paced, high-volume production environment with the need for quick thinking and flexibility; the role may require long hours, working an event-based schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; Education: Formal culinary training or equivalent work experience in a high-volume kitchen; Certifications: Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is required.
