Position: Senior Training and Event Specialist

About: The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is currently seeking a Senior Training Institute Conference Specialist for the Training Institute division of Central Office. This position is responsible for supporting the coordination of conferences hosted or sponsored by ODMHSAS. This involves conference project management, logistics, building registration, overseeing conference speakers and exhibitors, and the purchasing of material and services. Additionally, this position may supervise lower-level staff.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, or related field; one year of experience in education or training plus one additional year of qualifying experience in software applications used for rapid development of training materials and online courses; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in education or training plus one additional year of qualifying experience in software applications used for rapid development of training materials and online courses; or a master’s degree in adult education or human resource development plus one additional year of qualifying experience in software applications used for rapid development of training materials and online courses
