Position: School Food Services Manager I, II – Kaahumanu Elementary
About: The Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking candidates for the position of School Food Services Manager II. This position involves managing and directing daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supervising subordinate food service employees in a school setting.
Requirements: Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience Requirements: 3 years of total experience for School Food Services Manager I and 4 years of total experience for School Food Services Manager II, including specialized experience in food services management in a school or institution, supervisory aptitude, and possession of valid food handlers training certification. Non-Qualifying Experience should not be limited to basic serving or cleaning tasks. Substitutions Allowed include academic coursework in food service, possession of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, and excess specialized experience. Quality of Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position effectively. Certification Requirement: Valid food handlers training certification from accredited organizations.
