Position: Roving Kitchen Manager (0.66 FTE)
About: Manages the operation of nutrition services to ensure that a quality, nutritious, and cost-effective meal program is available daily to students, staff, parents, and the community in absence of kitchen manager or other nutrition services staff. Duties may vary based on position and location the roving kitchen manager is filling.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; One (1) year of experience in a position with the use of commercial kitchen equipment (steam tables, convection ovens, coolers, freezers, etc.), customer service, food preparation, and supervisory experience; Mathematical skills including basic calculations and application of job-related math concepts; Ability to work with detailed information/data and maintain strict confidentiality of written and oral information and records; Per DEC regulations, must have or be able to pass ServeSafe course within the first 45 days of employment and maintain certification; A valid Alaska driver’s license and use of personal vehicle. Must be able to gain access to military installations.
