Position: Pei Wei Restaurant Shift Leader-Hospitality/Culinary
About: At Pei Wei, Shift Leaders play a critical role in the success of the restaurant by directly assisting the Management teams. They are responsible for training and guiding team members in all aspects of the restaurant, from guest service to kitchen execution. Shift Leaders also take the lead role in the absence of Management and are crucial in understanding and using back-office systems effectively. The role requires comfort in leadership and the ability to lead the team during shifts through coaching, delegation, and verification.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certified/trained in Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations with the ability to coach/verify daily; Certified food handler with the capability to teach and execute safety and health procedures; Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, Management, and RSO; Demonstrates leadership qualities in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction; Proficient in executing shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, cash handling, inventory/ordering tasks; Experience: External Candidates – 6 months shift lead experience; Internal Candidates – 4 months Pei Wei experience
