Position: Lead Barista – Sacred Grounds – Juneau – Open Until Filled
About: Tlingit & Haida, a company based in Juneau, AK, is seeking a Retail Associate II (Lead Barista) to provide quality customer service and expertise in coffee and tea products. The lead barista will focus on exceptional customer service, build relationships, and offer technical guidance to team members in a positive store environment. Responsibilities include informing customers about products, handling operational issues, providing feedback to team members, and maintaining product standards. The role involves knowledge of food offerings, selling and serving, participating in promotions, and ensuring safe drink preparation.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; 6+ months working in a specialty coffee environment; register and cash handling experience; point of sales (POS) experience; knowledge of safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices; good customer service skills in a busy retail setting; ability to lead, communicate, and train team members; ability to provide efficient and friendly service
