Position: Kitchen Manager job
About: The Oasis at Crescent is an assisted living community seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join their team. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with the Director of Food Service to ensure the provision of nutritious and appetizing meals to residents while upholding high standards of food safety and service excellence. Responsibilities include meal preparation, staff supervision, inventory management, and maintaining a positive dining experience for residents. The ideal candidate will contribute to menu planning, uphold sanitation practices, and assist in creating a pleasant dining environment for residents.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; ServSafe certification required; at least 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting; supervisory or leadership experience preferred; knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and dietary needs for elderly populations; strong organizational and time management skills; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities; compassionate and patient attitude toward residents and staff; ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, lifting, and walking
