Position: Kitchen Assistant
About: This role is for a Kitchen Assistant position in a hospitality department based in Los Angeles. The duration of the employment is 12 months on a part-time basis. The Kitchen Assistant will report to the Director of Culinary Services and Food Service Manager, preparing and cooking assigned menu items for stations and catering, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and ensuring positive customer relations.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED; combination of culinary knowledge and significant volume cooking experience; ServeSafe Certification (or equivalent food safety certification); familiarity with special diets and allergens; one year of experience in high volume cooking and catering operation; detail-oriented and thorough; strong commitment to quality work; effective communication skills; ability to collaborate with various stakeholders; organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently
