Position: Head Institutional Cook

The Inmate Services Division, which includes Commissary Operations, Food Services, and Correctional Programs, provides quality products, professional services, and nutritional meals for the County’s inmate population. It operates multiple kitchens, dining halls, and warehouses, preparing over 3.8 million meals annually while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of experience as Institutional Cook with the County of Orange OR 3 years of experience preparing and cooking large quantities of food in a correctional facility, hospital, cafeteria, military facility, hotel, banquets/catering, or similar setting; valid California Food Handler Certification may be required; valid California Driver License, Class C or higher may be required
