About: The Westside High School Nutrition team is seeking a Head Catering Chef to oversee culinary operations for the school district’s catering services, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals for various events. The chef will play a vital role in maintaining federal and state nutrition guidelines while upholding safety and service standards for students, staff, and guests, creating a memorable dining experience at district events.
Requirements: Education: Culinary degree or equivalent certification in culinary arts, food management, or related field required; Experience: Minimum 6 years in culinary roles, with at least 3 years in a lead chef or catering position; Certifications: Current food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe Manager) required, knowledge of state and federal nutrition guidelines; Skills: Strong culinary and presentation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in budgeting and inventory management, ability to lead and manage a team effectively, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, proficient in Microsoft Office and Google products
