Position: General Manager
About: MV Transportation, a transportation company, is seeking a General Manager to provide support, leadership, and direction to the assigned operating location, ensuring the delivery of annual business plans. The General Manager will oversee the daily operation of the transportation contract in compliance with policies of the contracting agency and company procedures.
Requirements: College degree or equivalent business management experience; Management experience required; Minimum of five years of comprehensive experience in operations management and seven years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment with knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software; Labor/union negotiations/expenses expertise; Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, safety DOT, and FTA compliance; Proficiency in MS Office, strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and multitasking skills
