Position: Food Service Manager 1 – Reentry Seattle
About: The Department of Corrections is seeking a full-time Food Service Manager 1 (FSM1) for the Reentry Division at Reynolds Reentry Center in Seattle, WA. This role involves managing and providing residents with nutritionally appropriate quality meals, adhering to certified meal plans. The position supports the reentry purpose by ensuring residents have balanced meals to support their dietary needs. The agency’s mission is to improve public safety by positively changing lives through budgeting, planning, ordering, and preparing meals at the facility.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Two (2) years of supervisory or lead work experience in large-scale food operations or a Bachelor’s degree in restaurant/hotel management or related field; Experience in food management, planning, organization, procurement, and supervisory skills; Current food handler’s permit; Ability to plan and prepare nutritious menus, maintain food inventory, and follow safety standards
