Position: Float Custodian
About: Under basic supervision, the Mandan Public Schools facilities department is responsible for maintaining attractive, sanitary, and safe facilities for students, staff, and the public. The role involves arranging equipment and furniture for meetings, activities, and events, performing minor repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize property damage, loss, and liability exposure.
Requirements: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School diploma or GED equivalent; one year of maintenance experience; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of MPS policies and procedures, city safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards, safety precautions, materials, and equipment used in cleaning and maintaining buildings. Skill in operating and maintaining tools and equipment safely, following instructions, and establishing effective working relations with co-workers.
