Position: Director of Event Operations
About: Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel, located at 64 South Water Street in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Director of Event Operations to lead their events team and elevate galas, weddings, conferences, and corporate gatherings. The hotel is Mobile’s premier downtown convention hotel hosting a wide array of corporate and social events throughout the year in over 44,000 feet of meeting and event spaces.
Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in event operations, banquet management, or a comparable leadership role; Must be available to work flexible hours; Proven experience in upscale hospitality, banquet management, or event operations within a similar-sized property; Strong organizational skills and an unparalleled attention to detail; Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability under pressure; Proficient in Marriott Software’s Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
