Position: Day Custodian (0.6 FTE) and Elementary Kitchen Manager (0.4 FTE)
About: Salcha Elementary School is currently seeking a Day Custodian and an Elementary Kitchen Manager to join their team. The Day Custodian will be responsible for general cleaning duties, minor maintenance, grounds upkeep, and supporting building staff in maintaining cleanliness and functionality. The Elementary Kitchen Manager will oversee the operation of nutrition services to provide quality and nutritious meals daily to students and staff. These positions are integral to ensuring a safe and clean environment at Salcha Elementary School.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED; working knowledge of minor maintenance processes; valid State of Alaska driver’s license may be required for specific duties; for the Elementary Kitchen Manager role – one year of relevant experience with commercial kitchen equipment, customer service, food preparation, and supervision, mathematical skills, ability to work with detailed information, ServeSafe certification within 45 days of employment, valid Alaska driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
