Position: CORRECTIONS JUVENILE FOOD PRODUCTION WORKER
About: The Office of Juvenile Justice at the Bridge City Center for Youth in Bridge City, Louisiana is seeking Corrections Juvenile Food Production Workers. This position involves preparing and cooking food, serving meals, and supervising student offenders engaged in cleaning activities in a food service operation at a juvenile correctional institution.
Requirements: One year of food service experience in an institutional, hospital, military, or commercial food service operation. Enrollment in a food service related curriculum at a vocational, trade, or technical institute can substitute for the required experience. College credit in food and nutrition, dietetics, or institutional management can also substitute for the experience. Experience with no food handling or preparation will not be considered. College hours or degree must be from an accredited institution.
