Position: Chef Manager
About: Vanderbilt University is seeking a Chef De Cuisine for Vanderbilt Campus Dining to oversee the day-to-day culinary operations in an assigned dining hall. This position requires hands-on culinary leadership to maintain quality dining experiences and manage the unit’s annual budget while fostering positive relationships with employees, guests, and university departments.
Requirements: A high school diploma or GED is necessary; an associate degree in Culinary Arts is preferred; 5 years of culinary management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is necessary; strong business judgment, financial management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are necessary; excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills are necessary; ServSafe Manager certification and AllerTrain U certification within 30 days of hire are necessary.
