Position: Bar Host
About: The Umstead Hotel is seeking a Bar and Lounge Host/Hostess to uphold service and product delivery standards with exceptional client care. The role involves proactively welcoming and managing seating for guests in The Bar and Lounge in line with the hotel’s high-quality standards, ensuring a memorable guest experience.
Requirements: High school or equivalent education required; Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience; Restaurant or hotel experience preferred; Ability to maintain composure in busy situations; Exceptional attention to detail; Exceptional communication skills; Anticipation of guest needs; Ability to perform tasks within set timeframes; Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours; Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.; Ability to bend, kneel, push, and pull; Neat and groomed appearance; Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
