Position: Banquet Chef – Full Service, Hilton Norfolk The Main
About: Requires prior experience in Full-Service Hotels and upscale dining, this position is responsible for coordinating and managing all food production from the main kitchen including banquets, Empyrean Club, employee dining facility, and restaurants. Works with the banquet management team and associates, including the Catering Management, Purchasing, F&B Management, and Banquet Management. The Banquet Chef is a crucial team member committed to continuously improving guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
Requirements: At least 5 years of experience working in a high volume and fast-paced restaurant; Culinary education preferred; Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions; Good attitude and work ethic practices to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria; Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required; Able to read, write, and speak basic English; Able to understand and apply basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure) in order to obtain correct dilution ratios, portion control, etc.
