Position: Assistant Sous Chef
About: DDC – Glendale, AZ is seeking an Assistant Sous Chef to join their Food & Beverage team in a restaurant and casino setting. The position involves providing supervision to staff, menu creation, food cost control, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of kitchen experience, with at least 2 years of lead cook experience; culinary education can substitute for 1 year of lead cook experience. Must be 18 years or older and able to pass pre-employment screenings, background checks, and gaming license requirements. Knowledge of culinary methods, food preparation equipment, financial reports, menu creation, food trends, and Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Ability to obtain Food Handlers card and TIPS certification, communicate effectively in English, provide outstanding guest service, work in a fast-paced environment, and supervise/manage staff.
