Position: Assistant Kitchen Manager
About: Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities (UGMTC) provides emergency shelter, food, basic needs, and wraparound programs for people facing homelessness, hunger, and addiction in the community. Located in Saint Paul, UGMTC has been offering assistance since 1902 by feeding, sheltering, and providing hope to those in need. The Food Service at UGMTC prepares and serves three nutritious meals daily, year-round, playing a crucial role in meeting the needs of individuals in the community and at the mission. The Assistant Kitchen Manager position is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations in an emergency shelter and residential programs, contributing to the well-being and support of guests and residents.
Requirements: High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience; Post-secondary degree in related field (preferred); 4 years’ experience in an institutional environment or restaurant; 1 year of supervision experience; Registered, licensed ServSafe Food Manager Certificate required within 30 days of hire; Able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, holidays, or weekends.
