Position: 2024-25 FS Secondary School Cafeteria Manager – 00130
About: Managing the foodservice program in a secondary school according to district policies, procedures, and methods. Providing leadership and direction in the operation of the school cafeteria, training cafeteria personnel, maintaining good working relationships, and cooperating with school administrators, teachers, and staff. Promoting Child Nutrition program educational values and planning student cafeteria activities. Ensuring compliance with Child Nutrition Services menus, directives, and preparation of school meals.
Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent with a working knowledge of mathematics; knowledge, training, and experience in institutional or quantity cooking; documented training and experience in managing a food service operation; experience in training, supervision, and evaluation of food service personnel; experience in ordering and storing foods and supplies; oral and written communication skills; elementary business and bookkeeping skills; good disposition, dependable, and cooperative; ability to organize and work harmoniously under pressure; ability to exercise good judgment; good health and neat appearance; job requires stooping, bending, walking, standing, lifting heavy objects, and handling institutional equipment and supplies.
