Job Description

Rently is a pioneering company specializing in real estate technology, offering innovative solutions that aim to simplify and enhance the rental experience for both property owners and renters. As a leader in the PropTech industry, Rently has established itself as a trusted platform that merges technology with property management, enabling remote access and smarter property tours through seamless digital tools. The company is ISO 27001 and PIMS 27701 certified, underscoring its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy. With a dynamic and collaborative work environment, Rently fosters career growth and professional development opportunities for its employees. The company culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, compliance, and attentive customer service.

The Part-Time Event Specialist role at Rently is a critical position tailored for individuals passionate about orchestrating memorable live marketing experiences that amplify brand presence. This part-time role, located primarily in California, offers an hourly wage of $31.00, representative of base pay and subject to variation depending on the candidate's location, experience, and qualifications. The role focuses on managing the execution of events ranging from expansive trade shows to selective client appreciation gatherings, ensuring that each event seamlessly aligns with the company’s marketing strategy and branding standards.

As the lead executor of the brand's physical presence, the Event Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the entire event lifecycle, including the negotiation and procurement of vendors and venues, coordination of logistics, inventory and swag supervision, and on-site event management. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask under tight deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in high-pressure environments. The Event Specialist will act as the conduit between Rently’s marketing objectives and their real-world application through events, guaranteeing that every touchpoint projects the company's dedication to excellence and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities involve coordinating Rently’s strategic client visits, managing the flagship annual Rently Summit, and ensuring smooth trade show operations with attention to catering and entertainment logistics. The Specialist will also maintain a close watch on marketing materials and swag inventory using tools like Almaden and coordinate shipping to and from event locations. Vendor and venue procurement will require diligent research, vetting, and bidding, which will be presented to senior management for approval, ensuring budget adherence and quality service.

Additionally, this position requires preparing booth staff and event attendees with concise, up-to-date information and marketing collateral to optimize engagement and representation. Compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety standards is paramount, mitigating risk at every event. On-site responsibilities include travel to event venues—expected 2-4 times per year—to provide real-time support, manage vendor relationships, and troubleshoot any unforeseen challenges.

Candidates for this role will need a minimum of two years of professional experience in event planning, preferably within the corporate events and trade show sectors. A demonstrated portfolio of past events is highly desirable to showcase the quality and scale of work previously managed. Technical expertise managing show services, labor, rigging, and the ability to lift 25+ pounds are essential physical requirements for this role. The position requires flexibility for travel and working outside standard hours to meet event demands.

Rently packages a comprehensive array of benefits for part-time employees, including paid sick time, opportunities for career advancement and professional growth, potential work-related travel, and inclusive company gatherings and team events. This role is available to candidates legally authorized to work in the United States, with no sponsorship available from Rently. Join Rently as a Part-Time Event Specialist and leverage your expertise to create impactful live experiences that showcase innovation and brand excellence in the fast-evolving PropTech landscape.
