Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading event marketing and sales agency specializing in person-to-person marketing services that drive sales for top retail companies, most notably Costco. CDS is the preferred in-house event marketing provider for Costco, offering unmatched services in product demonstrations, merchandising, and customer engagement. The company is well-known for its commitment to excellence in customer service, innovative marketing solutions, and robust operational support to both vendors and retailers. Through its expansive network, CDS bridges the gap between manufacturers and end consumers, ensuring top brands gain visibility and traction in competitive retail environments.

The role of a Full-Time Event Manager at CDS is a dynamic and multifaceted position that places emphasis on leadership, communication, and operational excellence. As an Event Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators who actively engage customers with compelling product presentations. This position is vital in ensuring that all demonstrations run smoothly, that product preparation adheres to health and safety standards, and that all team members are well-trained to deliver stellar service to club members. The Event Manager liaises extensively with warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators, maintaining clear and effective communication channels to foster teamwork and operational excellence.

In addition to managing day-to-day event operations, the Event Manager plays a critical role in supporting new location grand openings, contributing to the company’s growth and market penetration efforts. This position requires a highly organized individual who can work independently and strategically prioritize tasks while adapting to fast-paced retail environments. CDS provides a set work schedule, generally from Tuesday through Saturday, offering employees a balanced work-life experience alongside comprehensive benefits. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off, creating a supportive work environment for all employees.

Beyond the core responsibilities, this role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with district managers in evaluating event performance metrics, including sales performance and operational costs. The Event Manager will contribute to maintaining and developing corporate governance policies and procedures, ensuring that all company and compliance standards are met. With the need to achieve revenue and net income objectives through strategic sales activation and expense management, this leadership role demands a blend of creativity, business acumen, and operational discipline.

Working at CDS means joining a company that values diversity, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodations for employees requiring support. The company fosters a culture of continuous learning and development, enabling employees to thrive professionally while contributing to the broader organizational goals. The Event Manager role thus represents a vital leadership opportunity for individuals passionate about event marketing, retail sales, and team development within a reputable organization dedicated to customer satisfaction and business success.
