Job Description

The hiring establishment is a unique boutique destination hotel located in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Renowned for providing a highly personalized and memorable guest experience, this property offers an intimate setting that appeals to both leisure and corporate travelers who seek exclusivity and excellence in hospitality. This boutique hotel combines stylish and comfortable accommodations with picturesque surroundings, making it a preferred choice for visitors looking for a distinctive experience away from the conventional large-scale resorts. The hotel's focus on exceptional service, culinary excellence, and a broad spectrum of amenities emphasizes its commitment to exceeding guests' expectations. The property is well-regarded in the hospitality industry for its creative approach to hosting and delivering refined guest experiences including corporate retreats, meetings, weddings, and social events, catering to a diverse clientele looking for both professional and celebratory gatherings. As a boutique destination, the hotel maintains a warm, collaborative environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and guest satisfaction through personalized service and attention to detail.

The role of Director of Event Sales at this boutique destination hotel is an exciting and pivotal position aimed at driving the growth of the hotel’s group and event business. This is a hybrid role based primarily in the North Bay/San Francisco Bay Area, offering the flexibility of working from the property approximately one day per week and remotely or meeting clients for the remainder. The Director of Event Sales will be responsible for actively selling and developing new business opportunities, particularly in the areas of corporate retreats, meetings, weddings, and social events. This role demands a highly motivated sales professional who excels in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with new and existing clients, event planners, and community partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the hotel’s overall sales strategy while remaining hands-on and engaged in the day-to-day active selling process.

As the lead on event sales, the Director will prospect extensively to generate qualified leads through networking, outside sales efforts, and cultivating community partnerships. Managing the sales process from initial inquiry to contract execution, this professional will coordinate closely with internal operational teams to ensure seamless client experiences and successful event execution. The role encourages creative, initiative-driven strategies aimed at expanding market reach and boosting business development within the boutique hospitality sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative environment that values exceptional service and creativity, where the Director of Event Sales can make a meaningful impact by driving revenue growth, enhancing client satisfaction, and elevating the profile of a beloved boutique destination hotel. The compensation package is competitive and includes base salary, commission, and performance-based bonuses that reward strong sales achievements. Overall, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding career path with substantial opportunities for professional growth and achievement within the boutique hospitality industry.
