Known for its stunning vineyard views, sophisticated amenities, and attentive service, the resort caters to discerning guests seeking both leisure and business travel experiences. As a leading resort and spa in one of the most celebrated wine regions in the United States, The Meritage Resort & Spa attracts a diverse clientele ranging from corporate professionals to social event planners, all looking to create memorable occasions within an elegant and inspiring setting.
At The Meritage Resort & Spa, the focus is on delivering extraordinary hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences through every detail of service. The property features luxurious guest rooms, several dining venues highlighting local cuisine and wine pairings, a full-service spa, and multiple versatile event spaces designed to accommodate weddings, conventions, meetings, and social gatherings.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Event Services Manager to join our distinguished team. This full-time position offers a salary of $85,000 annually and plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of events held at the resort. The Event Services Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events, working closely with clients to align their vision and budget with The Meritage’s resources and hospitality standards. This role requires a combination of creativity, strong organizational skills, and effective communication to ensure seamless event execution that consistently exceeds client expectations.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in client engagement and event planning, contract management, and operations coordination. Responsibilities include conducting client meetings, preparing and executing sales agreements, maintaining detailed event documentation such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and collaborating with banquet and operational teams to deliver flawless event experiences. The Event Services Manager must be proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize revenue through strategic upselling and cross-selling of services. Additionally, the role demands strict adherence to safety protocols, punctuality, and professional presentation.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability during weekends, holidays, and a variety of shifts to support the dynamic nature of event services. The Event Services Manager should demonstrate a professional demeanor, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with hospitality technology systems, audio/visual equipment, menu planning with food and wine pairings, as well as forecasting and budgeting, is preferred to support comprehensive event management.
Joining The Meritage Resort & Spa means being part of an iconic Napa Valley institution that combines the beauty of its surroundings with a commitment to hospitality excellence. Those passionate about events and guest services will find this an exciting opportunity to contribute to memorable occasions that celebrate life’s special moments while advancing a rewarding career in the luxury hospitality industry.
