Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Feerma Mediterranean Grill & Bar — Larkspur, Marin County

At  Feerma Restaurant, we are creating more than a restaurant, we are building a destination rooted in fire, hospitality, culture, and community. Inspired by the Mediterranean and North African spirit of gathering, Feerma blends exceptional food, warm service, live-fire cooking, craft cocktails, and elevated design into one unforgettable experience.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and hospitality-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our team and support daily operations as we prepare for opening and long-term growth.

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager works directly with ownership and the General Manager to oversee all front-of-house operations, team leadership, guest experience, and daily restaurant performance.

This role requires someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, leads by example, stays calm under pressure, and understands the importance of both operational excellence and genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Support all daily restaurant operations
  • Lead, coach, and motivate FOH staff
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences at all times
  • Maintain service standards, cleanliness, and organization
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training
  • Manage floor operations during service
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Collaborate with kitchen leadership and bar team
  • Monitor labor costs, sales performance, and operational efficiency
  • Help maintain inventory and ordering systems
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards
  • Assist in building a strong positive culture and team environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in upscale casual or high-volume restaurants preferred
  • Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and guest experience
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve under pressure
  • Strong organizational and team management skills
  • Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations
  • Wine, cocktail, or Mediterranean cuisine knowledge is a plus
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
