This full-time, non-management Food and Beverage position is located at the JW Marriott hotel at 1001 Broadway, Oakland, California. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.00, is tip eligible, and includes additional compensation through service charge eligibility. The position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and beverage service, enjoy interacting with diverse guests, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role involves various duties such as working as a cashier, dining room attendant, banquet server, and barback. This multi-faceted position allows employees to diversify their skills and gain extensive experience in different areas of food and beverage service within a luxury hospitality setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for warmly greeting guests, attending to tables promptly and courteously, serving food and beverages, and sharing menu knowledge to assist guests with their questions and special requests. Additionally, the role includes accurately processing transactions using the MICROS system, ensuring guest satisfaction by proactively checking on their dining experience, and maintaining cleanliness and organization by clearing tables, completing closing tasks, and restocking supplies. This position requires the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, the stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintaining a professional appearance with a clean uniform. Training and certification focused on safety will be provided before employment begins.
