Job Description

Senior Resource Group (SRG) has been a trailblazer in the senior living industry for over 37 years, dedicated to developing and operating senior living communities across the United States. With a reputation built on innovation, SRG has earned numerous awards for its innovative community design, outstanding service, and exceptional care. The company’s commitment to creating vibrant and inviting communities where seniors can enjoy a high quality of life is reflected in every aspect of its operations. SRG’s senior living communities combine thoughtful design, compassionate staff, and comprehensive services to foster independence, dignity, and a sense of belonging for residents. This dedication makes SRG a leader in its field and a sought-after employer for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

This role is part-time, with shifts available in both the AM and PM, including weekends and holidays, and offers a competitive wage of $18.00 per hour. The position focuses on serving food to residents and guests in a fine dining, in-house restaurant setting within SRG’s communities. Unlike typical server roles that may involve late-night hours, this job promises no late-night shifts, allowing team members to maintain a balanced personal and professional life.

The role revolves around delivering an exceptional dining experience characterized by elegant service and quality. Servers work in an environment featuring crisp linen tablecloths, fine china, and top-quality fresh ingredients, offering made-to-order dining that includes seasonal and regional menus with signature dishes and daily specials. Employees in this role are not only servers but brand ambassadors who contribute to the pleasant atmosphere and uphold SRG’s commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities include preparing tables, presenting menus, addressing guest questions about menu items, suggesting food and service options, and remaining informed about daily specials. The role also involves writing down and relaying food orders to the kitchen, serving courses promptly and efficiently, and clearing and resetting tables between courses. Maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining area, including dining tables, chairs, floors, linens, and serving stations, is essential. Additionally, maintaining required food handler certificates is mandatory for this position, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

SRG emphasizes teamwork and fun in this role, encouraging a collaborative approach to providing fine dining experiences for seniors and visitors alike. The company offers full training, meaning no prior experience is necessary, making this an ideal entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to enter the hospitality or senior care industry. Confidentiality and equal employment opportunity standards are strictly observed, underscoring SRG’s respectful and inclusive workplace culture. The company is fully compliant with all federal, state, and local employment laws, prohibiting discrimination and harassment in any form. This position is suitable for candidates who are enthusiastic about hospitality, dedicated to excellent service, and eager to contribute to a welcoming community environment.
