The CNC Programmer role, located in Montebello, CA, offers a full-time, non-exempt position within the manufacturing sector. This position comes with an hourly wage ranging from $30 to $38, dependent on experience. The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in CNC programming, interpreting blueprints and translating these into precise setups for mills, lathes, and laser machinery to maintain critical tolerance limits. This ensures timely and accurate fabrication to support on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The CNC Programmer functions with a high degree of autonomy, making informed decisions related to machine setup and programming. Additionally, the programmer acts as a backup to supervisory personnel, covering during their absence due to vacation or sick leave. This role also involves training other team members on programming and setup techniques, thereby building a strong bench strength within the team. This position requires proficiency with Turret machines, Laser, Panel Benders, and Safan equipment, along with deep collaboration with engineering teams on prototype development and tooling design.
Key responsibilities include conducting first article inspections, adjusting machine settings in compliance with established protocols, identifying and repairing tooling issues, and ensuring all operations adhere to IMS standards. The programmer will also perform simulations for new routings and bill of materials to support costing, source and obtain tooling quotes, and manage scrap control and reduction. Operational cleanliness and equipment maintenance, including the use of electric and hand pallet jacks, form part of the daily duties. This role demands excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal capabilities, attention to detail, and effective communication to support seamless production operations.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role
- manufacturing experience
- experience working in fast-paced, international environments preferred
- high school diploma
- certification in CNC programming
- proficiency in blueprint reading and programming software
- ability to work onsite with occasional weekend shifts
- physical ability to operate pallet jacks and perform machine setup

Job Duties
- Collaborates with engineering on building prototypes
