The General Manager position at Terry Black's BBQ is a pivotal leadership role overseeing all daily operations, ensuring alignment with BFH's rigorous brand standards in customer service, food quality, and financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the management team and driving continuous team development fostering a culture of excellence. This position demands a dynamic individual who will champion guest satisfaction, maintain operational consistency, and drive effective cost controls.
This role also involves significant supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, scheduling staff, conducting performance evaluations, and managing disciplinary procedures in accordance with restaurant policies. The General Manager will ensure that food preparation complies with stringent health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards while maintaining a welcoming and satisfying customer experience. Handling customer complaints diplomatically, ensuring compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations, managing inventory and purchases, and conducting daily restaurant inspections are key functions needed to uphold the company’s esteemed reputation.
Additionally, the General Manager is tasked with maintaining accurate sales records, monitoring cash receipts, preparing and submitting operational reports to company leadership, and evaluating equipment needs for repair and routine maintenance.
