Job Description

This position is offered by a leading property management company specializing in providing exceptional food and beverage (F&B) services across managed residential and community properties. The company is known for delivering high standards of hospitality with a strong focus on resident satisfaction, operational excellence, financial accountability, and adherence to global service standards. As part of a dynamic team, the company seeks to reinforce its commitment to quality in F&B operations by enhancing customer service experiences and maximizing profitability within its managed communities. The company supports a team environment centered on collaboration, continuous improvement, and upholding the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct. Employment in this role involves significant interaction with multiple stakeholders including association boards, management teams, vendors, and residents, ensuring that F&B services align with community needs and financial objectives.

The role involves serving as a Food and Beverage Leadership Specialist with extensive responsibility for managing, supporting, and elevating the F&B operations within multiple residential communities throughout the region. This leadership position demands a strategic and hands-on approach to driving revenue growth, managing operating budgets, and enhancing resident experiences. You will be entrusted with the full financial oversight of food and beverage activities, including profit and loss accountability, budget planning, and performance analysis. You will lead efforts to implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at improving service consistency and operational efficiencies. The role requires close collaboration with community boards and development teams to execute new F&B programs, products, menus, and pricing strategies that align with community expectations and financial goals.

Operationally, the position requires substantial involvement in talent management, including recruitment, development, and coaching of F&B team members to create a service-driven culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and profitability. The role also includes matrix supervisory responsibilities in conjunction with general managers and boards, ensuring seamless leadership communication and operational alignment. Physical presence at properties is necessary at times to support or cover for staffing shortages, demonstrating a commitment to hands-on leadership. The position adheres strictly to the FirstService Residential Global Service Standards, emphasizing personal and professional ethics, safety adherence, and collaborative problem-solving.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Beverage Management or a related field and bring a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience specifically in food and beverage operations. Strong financial acumen is critical for managing budgets, revenue growth, and profitability. The ideal candidate must have robust knowledge of various dining formats including bar operations, casual and upscale dining, and kitchen protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to analyze operational challenges and provide strategic recommendations, are essential. The role demands a results-driven mindset, prioritization capabilities, and a service-oriented attitude combined with resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and to stand or sit for extended periods. The work environment is predominantly office-based with frequent visits to managed properties, which may involve walking over uneven terrain. The position requires up to 75% travel including evenings and weekends to support property events and operational needs. This is a demanding but rewarding opportunity for a seasoned F&B leader to significantly impact multiple communities by delivering consistent top-tier food and beverage experiences while driving business growth and operational excellence.
