Position: Youth Development Specialist – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a renowned private school offering a career-focused education to students from pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, MHS provides housing, meals, and fully covers all costs for students. The school is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, residing in on-campus student homes to provide guidance and support to groups of approximately 8-12 students, creating a family-like environment.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth, particularly from under-served backgrounds; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; high school diploma or GED required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license with the ability to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services; must uphold a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol while on duty; limitations on pets, only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; both spouses to complete individual employment applications; high level of integrity as staff act as role models for students
